On Your First Visit
Your first visit will include getting to know you, your health history, and identifying the reasons for your visit (Diagnosis).
When we meet, we’ll talk anywhere from 20-30 minutes depending upon your questions and the complexity of your conditions. Next, an examination will follow, at which time I’ll check for tenderness, range of motion, flexibility, and strength, and decide whether x-ray or other studies will be necessary (Prognosis)
After this, your treatment will follow. If we find any areas of discomfort or joint restriction, stretching and soft tissue work will be given with a chiropractic adjustment (Treatment).
Adjustments vary from person to person, generally the more painful the condition, the more gentle the treatment. "A great adjustment is one that doesn't hurt!"
After the adjustment, the area involved may be treated with ice, heat, muscle stimulation, ultrasound or specific soft tissue work. The treatment should be comfortable and, of course beneficial- you’re going to be thrilled with the results.
